Annalea Milligan

Annalea Milligan is a doctoral degree candidate in bassoon performance at Louisiana State University. A dynamic performer, Annalea currently serves as second bassoon for the Monroe Symphony Orchestra, regularly records and performs with the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra and the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra on both bassoon and contrabassoon, and has played with orchestras across the country. She is frequently involved in new composition projects and has recently premiered new works with the LPO, the Three Worlds Symphony, and the Rougarou Concerto. Prior to coming to Baton Rouge, she earned her M.M. from the University of Northern Iowa and B.M. from the University of the Pacific where she studied with Nicolasa Kuster and Cayla Bellamy respectively.
