Scot Humes is Professor of Clarinet and Saxophone at the University of Louisiana Monroe, Principal Clarinet of the Monroe Symphony and Vashon Opera Orchestras, and frequently performs in the Shreveport and Texarkana (TX) Symphonies. In demand as a performer and clinician, he has given recitals and masterclasses throughout the USA, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. A member of "duo per se", with Steinway Recording Artist Tania Tachkova, their commitment to new music has resulted in collaborations, commissions, receiving, asking, and begging modern composers for new works for clarinet and piano. Their first, self-titled, CD is due for release in the second quarter of 2022 on the Centaur Records label. Humes is a Silverstein Works Pro Team Artist, a SoundScore Artist, a Potenza Music artist, and a Henri Selmer Paris Artist performing on Selmer Seles Presence clarinets.
