Travel Scholarship Application
The New Music on the Bayou 2023 Travel Scholarship submission period is now closed. Notifications of scholarship awards will be made on April 14, 2023. Below is a link to the application followed by guidelines for submitting. N.B. compositions for the festival are submitted separately.

Purpose
The purpose of the NMB scholarships is to increase the availability of our new music festival to composers with financial need and/or those that comprise underrepresented communities within the composition field. As such, the application process requires the submission of an essay described below accompanied by a letter of support. 

Guidelines

• Click on the application form.

• Submit a one-page written statement in PDF format detailing: 1) Your need for financial assistance; 2) How this festival will benefit you; and 3) How your inclusion will enhance the diversity of the festival. Please include your name on the page.

• Have a mentor, teacher, colleague or friend submit a letter in support of your application to info@newmusiconthebayou.com.

• Submit 1-3 compositions for the 2023 NMB Festival separately.
