COVID-19 Protocols
In order to maximize safety for all participants at the 2021 NMB Festival, we are asking all composers and performers to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test or proof of having received one of the available vaccines. We also expect to require masks and physical distancing of all participants and attendees. As the policies of our universities and other governing bodies are updated, we will announce further changes here.

UPDATE: On Tuesday, May 25, the governor of Louisiana lifted the mask requirement for schools. On Friday, May 28, the president of the University of Louisiana System followed by the presidents of Louisiana Tech University and the University of Louisiana at Monroe also lifted their mask requirements. Attendees may of course choose to continue wearing masks to protect themselves and others. The current rate of fully vaccinated adults in Region 8 of Louisiana, where Lincoln Parish and Ouachita Parish are situated, is 26.11% as of May 28 according to the Louisiana Department of Health's website.
